Given that I have an autistic spectrum disorder, whenever I get a call during my daily labors from someone who goes on an epic rant and in that same process, uses a label that I consider in bad taste, it reopens an old wound from my past that has been taking more than 20 years to heal. (I was bullied for several years between 1995 and 2003.) Regardless, I believe that if you call me during my daily labors and I am offering you medical assistance and/or SNAP benefits, and you harass or otherwise threaten me or my colleagues on a recorded phone line, then just like in Great Britain, you should be prosecuted and jailed upon conviction. As someone contracted with the commonwealth of Pennsylvania, I demand respect from all of my callers. Without that respect that I demand, it means that that particular caller brings disrepute upon the commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
