Michael T. Mondak speaks about his plans for golf in 2025

This year in golf, I plan on getting in some practice between next Saturday and April 12, with plans to play my first round of golf for the year on April 19 at Tam O'Shanter in Hermitage.  My golf travels this year will take me to Castle Hills in New Castle (on April 26), the Links at Firestone Farms in Columbiana, Ohio, Kennsington in Canfield, Ohio, Pine Lakes in Hubbard, Ohio, Hickory Grove in Jefferson, Ohio (these four rounds in May), Highland Springs in Wellsburg, West Virginia, Pleasant Valley in Vintondale, Butler's Woodside in Elizabeth, Chippewa in Bentleyville, Linden Hall in Dawson (these five rounds during my U.S. Open vacation in June), Fox Run in Beaver Falls, Hunter's Station in Tionesta (these two rounds during the Fourth of July holiday weekend), Whispering Woods in Erie, White Oak in Dayton and Whispering Pines in Meadville (these three rounds in August).

I have seen videos on YouTube where some local television stations have what is called a Surprise Squad on their local newscasts.  These efforts are done in partnership with local businesses (e.g., car dealerships, banks or credit unions).  These Surprise Squads honor individuals (e.g., military veterans, first responders, loyal volunteers or young children) who have freely given of themselves to assist others or are in need of things to make their lives easier or to boost their morale.  The Squad could also help people pay for gas or groceries during the holiday season or pay tribute to a military veteran who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Michael T. Mondak speaks about Tommy Fleetwood’s failure to win on the PGA Tour

Tommy Fleetwood is the best golfer to never have won on the PGA Tour. Even though he has won seven times on the DP World Tour in Europe, and consistently finished in the top 30 in both the FedEx Cup and Race to Dubai standings, winning on the PGA Tour in the United States continues to elude him. There are several theories that golf fans and critics cite as reasons for his failure to win in the United States: Mental:  Golf is partly a mental game.  If his mentality is holding him back from winning, then I suggest that Dr. Bob Rotella step in to help.  Dr. Rotella is a world-renowned sports psychologist that has worked on the mental side of sports with the world’s greatest athletes.  His recent success in helping Rory McIlroy finally win the Masters at Augusta National could also help Tommy Fleetwood finally break through with a win on the PGA Tour. Michael T. Mondak speaks to Santa Claus

Dear Mr. Claus: I say, I say, it's that time of year again? Even though I celebrated a milestone in my life in July 2025 (my 40th birthday), the year in general had too many changes (becoming an uncle, loss of employment, the launch of Zipelly, five personal losses in a two-month span, e.g.) to count.  I deserve a Christmas miracle of all miracles. As you might already know, I am known in the Shenango Valley as "The Balloon Man", handing out helium balloons to the children at different events such as the Hermitage Arts Festival, Buhl Day, e.g. What I want to do starting in 2026 is be able to show the folks who are not able to make it to these festivals is for them to see me in action at these events from my point of view.  I would like a GoPro camera that I can attach to my waist or atop my ever-present Penn State hat to take these action videos from my point of view.
