Michael T. Mondak speaks to Santa Claus in 2026

Dear Mr. Claus:

Well, well, well... is it that time of year again?

2026 was the first year in quite some time that I had no sustainable employment save for my duties with Zipelly.  My travels with Zipelly this year took me back to the Upper Ohio Valley, the Mahoning Valley, as well as took me to the North Hills and South Hills of Pittsburgh.  (One day next year, I will get to Morgantown, Cleveland, Buffalo or even to State College!)  But I also became an uncle to a baby nephew named Theo, born in mid-October.

Anyhoo, here's what I am wishing for this Christmas:

Pittsburgh Penguins new Hometown Remix jersey:  This jersey just debuted as part of the National Hockey League's Hometown Remix collection.  I want one of these in a XXL size.  I don't mind if it is blank on the back without a last name or a jersey number.  But if there's an option to have a current player name on it, it would be RAKELL 67.

Titleist Pro V1x golf balls:  I like playing these golf balls and have loved them since 2003.  I like playing the high numbers 5, 6, 7 and 8.  I want two dozen of these golf balls.

PGA Tour Superstore gift card:  A $500 gift card for the PGA Tour Superstore will go a long way towards revamping my golf wardrobe starting in 2027.

JCPenney gift card:  A $500 gift card for JCPenney will go a long way to revamp my menswear wardrobe that I wear for my occasional Jeopardy! tournaments.

Those are my Christmas wishes this year.

Remember to lift hearts wherever you go.
